Background

Jordan Hoppel is a Scottsdale-based strength coach specializing in bench press strength and athletic performance. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Ashland University (2014), where he competed as a two-time NAIA All-American sprinter.

After college, Jordan trained post-collegiately with the Altis elite track and field group — one of the most respected performance training organizations in the world, home to multiple Olympic athletes. That experience shaped his systems-based approach to athletic development: precise diagnostics, structured periodization, and measurable outcomes.

He later completed an internship with the Cleveland Indians Strength & Conditioning program, adding professional sports performance methodology to his coaching toolkit.

16 Years of Coaching

Jordan has spent 16 years coaching strength and conditioning, working with over 1,300 athletes across all experience levels — from complete beginners adding their first plate to the bar, to advanced lifters chasing elite-level numbers.

Currently he runs early-morning strength sessions (5am–10am) at 5 Star Fitness in Scottsdale, Arizona, where his coaching focuses on bench press specialization, structural balance, and plateau-breaking programming.

His personal bench press is 375 lbs raw at approximately 190 lbs bodyweight — not just a coach who talks about strength, but a practitioner who earns the right to teach it.
